Ever since I moved to the Annex, I've been looking for an organic food store. I found a little shop called Organics on Bloor. Upon entering the store I was greeted warmly - points there already.

I looked around and was happy to see that they carried familiar foods. I decided to stock up for the week. As they were ringing up my bill they marked down my groceries because I was a student. I had found a place close by that not only sold organic food, but also had a good atmosphere and gave student discounts.

I have continued to shop at Organics on Bloor ever since that day of discovery and feel really good supporting them. I have learned over my visits that they support local companies and farmers, they are a family-run business instead of a franchise, and they are generous to the community - they even deliver groceries for free if you're too busy to make it into the store. Their produce is beautiful and fresh and their customer-service is fantastic - they even open the door for me sometimes. I am really happy to have found this little jewel in Toronto. If you are in the same boat as me - relatively new to living on your own, hoping to eat healthy, and in need of affordable prices - I hope you will consider Organics on Bloor.
