Forgotten Angst
The soles of my shoes
wore out today,
like the soul of my heart
when she walked
out of my life,
out of my subdivision.
The rain poured down,
bathing my sorrow
and my broken soles.
I had to walk to the store
because I only had
my G1 and my parents
weren't home.
When I got there
my Chuck T's were sold out
and my soul cried with the rain.
But the next day
the sun shone
to mock my pain,
and my All-Stars
were totally cool again.
