Canadian Criminal Code Funnies
Ridiculing the laws that protect us since 1992
Issue date: 11/17/05 Section: Stranded
The Canadian Criminal Code unequivocally states that any and all
dueling clearly falls outside the boundaries of lawful behaviour. The
Code follows as such:
Duels
Dueling - Everyone who
a) challenges or attempts by any means to provoke another person to
fight a duel,
b) attempts to provoke a person to challenge another person to fight a
duel, or
c) accepts a challenge to fight a duel
is guilty of an indictable offence and liable to imprisonment for a
term not exceeding two years.
The last time I fought a duel the police didn't seem familiar with the laws that they are supposed to be upholding for our collective safety. They told us all to "Cut that nonsense out or we'll call your parents." Some law enforcement. I should expect that they be more familiar with laws such as the dueling law in order to better serve the greater community and to make better use of our tax dollars than hunting down kids hunkered over computers downloading the latest piece of shit from...uh...whatever it is the kids listen to and watch these days. Instead of arresting infants for stealing binary code, why not put an end to any and all dueling in Toronto for once and for all.
